Sure tattooes are great, but do you honestly want them to work on tattooes more than making GW2 everything you want it to be?

And by no means am I saying abandon GW1, but for what GW1 is, it's a great game. They made tons of mistakes sure, now let them fix it in GW2.
fixed that for you XD

I personally can only agree to much of the listed points of the OP... the Character Creator of GW is in 1 word described simple CHEAP and it can be alot better, would have anet put only more work into it from the begin on, to enable us players better far more individual characters.
You run in this game every minute into clones of your characters, because this game has simple way too less hair styles, way too less GOOD face styles, because like 70% of what we have is ugly crap, which would need some serious restyling to make them look better and more realistic. The game has some face styles, which let characters look more like mental or physical cripples, than normal humans. Some are udner the, where you really must believe, that the person, who created them must have been under Crack, when they "worked" on them.

Even F2P MMORPG's like Perfect World offer a way much better character customization, than GW does and that is imo really a shame for Anet imo, which created a professional Online Game and not just only a simple F2P MMO like they exists in douzends over douzends on the internet.

I hope Anet will learn out of the massive fails from GW and will do it better with GW2 and that they will use for the next time all potential the gamer offers them. Anet has wasted so much good potential with GW1 and never have they intentioned to use it, as if they self would not see, what a good potential lies in their game. From Campaign to Campaign got the game only worser and worser due to the fact, that they have wasted so much potential, they should have better used direct, when they had the chance and the time for it >.>

I would love it, when I could really create in GW2 a character, where i can be at the end 100% sure, that my character will look unique and as much as individual, as possible to decrease the chance to meet on a Clone of me to ZERO as much as possible.

Splitting the Face Style into all it's single parts helps there really much. When I can choose then, if my character should have these Ears, or those Ears. If the mouth should be more big, or flat and tinier. Should it be blue Eyes, brown Eyes, green Eyes or for a fantasy game take even red, yellow, purple, black, orange ect. eyes ^^ Its absolutely no problem to give players for this the total freedom to choose from, if the charactor creator mode has a Color Field, from where you can choose your wished Eye Color, by moving the mouse over the field of colors... Same could be done with Hair Color to give us players a much bigger better variety of hair colors, which aren't fixed only on a little amount and that than even also limited per profession -.- Get rid of these retarded limitations !!!

Same counts for HAIR STYLES, they should be usable for every profession and regardless of what campaign you own (in GW2 it won't give anymore campaigns, just 1 MAIN game and the rest will be only add ons, much better system, that doesn't split the community) That we can't create in GW1 tyria charas with cantha hairstyles and elonian face or so was(and still is) one of the most retarded fails of Anet....would they fix this issue would have GW instantly have a much higher grade of character individuality, because the game would receive instnatly hundreds of new combination possibilities for character customization and the chance to meet on clones would drastically DECREASE!!! >.<

However, back to my main point:

I'd love it to create in GW2 aCharacter, where i can choose for all details out of a serious high amount of possibilities those, that I like.
Choose the looks of the Hair Style, the Eye Color, hair Color, Nose Style, Ear Style, Mouth Style, Head Style, Size of my Character with easier system to decide more simply, how big the character should be by inputting Numbers of Centimetres in, instead of pulling a dumb scroll bar, where you can't see, how big your character will be really in the end compared with other characters.

It's much easer, when you have to say only, how big the character shoudl be in centimetres, and the game self then uses these infos to create a fitting character of that size.

Say you give in now: 175 Centi Metres, mean, the game will create for you automatically then a character with a body model, that fits to a body size of
1,75 Metres. The possible inputable numbers will vary then from race to race.

So when you create an Asura, then it will be logical, that you can't give in at the Size field then in "210" or so, because Asura's simple can't reach a size of 2,10 Metres XD With such a system it would be much easier to create characters of a size really of your likings, and by inputtign the size in centi metres, players get am uch better imagination of the character size, other then pullung on such a dumb scroll bar up or down, where you don't even see, how big the character really will be, because you don't receive any info about the size in metres or so, when you do that...that very important info was ever missing in GW1's CCM.

The OP otherwise already mentioned all other points, that dissappoint me also about GW's CCM.

When I#ve a Weapon, then it should be seeable anywhere on my Character, as long as other players have the option, to deactivate all things, they don't want to see from other players, its good. when its part of the CCM, even to decide, at which place of the characters body a weapon should be seeable, its even more nice. At least for those kinds of weapons, where it is decideable.
Weapons like big Great Swords or Axes a character will ever carry on it's back, because its the only place for it, where it can be carried, because such weapons are simple to big and too heavy to have anywhere place for them, othe then on the back of the characters, same with Long Staffs, Lances, Bows and so on ... weapons, hwich are typical to wear all on the back...
This choice should count so also only for smaller and lighter weapons, like 1H Axes and Swords.

Sigh ,would we receive finally only more infos about Guild Wars 2. So much time has passed, since Anet released the info about planning on GW2 and yet, we know so less about it, other then a bit of the Story, that will await us, and what the first set of new playable races will be, but in kind of Gameplay and Features and what gets how improved over GW1, we still know absolutely nothing T.T They drive me personally insane with this silence around GW2.

at least giving us finally a date, that will tell us, when the official GW2 site will get announced would be at least something they could do ... then we would get something, that we can mark on our calendars at least ^^

Play in the Traditional chinese or Polish districts. Not only will you never see a clone, you'll probably also never see anyone else.

lol, that is no solution, thats a cheap joke that solves nothing!! XD

those empty districts are so useless, they are nearly perma empty and those empty districts are also the reason for all those roller beetle cheaters, because they enable them to create private races and to easily abuse a bug on the Ram Skill, which is the reason, why those cheaters get such high points and can drive others so easily away.

Any of thoe ones, which got a greased lighting, absoluted don't deserve them, because most people of them abused only a cheap bug and abusing bugs has nothign to do anymore with fairness and competitive pvp ...

It would also be the best, if Anet would remove all those perma empty districts from the game.
It makes no sense to have a game with several districts, when 50% of the games districts are perma empty >.> Its just a waste of server power to keep up perma unsused districts.

When they give the game more districts, then they shoukld make sense. More districts make only sense, when people use them, due to an own language for example and having lots of players, which speak this language.

Polnish, Asian(Korean) and Russian Districts are so often perma empty, even international gets more used than those 3 together , it it would make alot more sense to give the game instead

a Dutch/Belgique , a Scandinavian (Finland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden) and a Turkish District , because these would be surely alot more used in future, than the other 3 ...

Default An idea. hear me out and let me know your opinions

Alright so my ranger i have had for 30 months and 5 sets of elite armor. but i dont like his hairstyle, it just doesnt go with his armors so i was thinking that Anet should add a feature that allows you to change various cosmetic features such as hair, face, skin colour. But you will also have to pay a fee of 10k or under to do so. i acctualy pitched this idea to ncsoft and was told no, go post on a fansite. so here i am lemme know what u think. thanks.

I think its a great idea, Ive had a ranger now for a year and after seeing the same hair style for a whole year Im getting a little tired of it myself. I mean I would like to just change it to another prophisies hairstyle nothing more than just a quick switch but I just cant stand the thought of starting her over and I dont want to loose all the achivements on her but I really really am tired of it... I wonder if anyone else is feeling the same way.
